Kilburn High Road

This dilapidated brownfield site in north west London has been redeveloped, replacing three small single storey retail units, with two new larger retail units and 11 flats above.

The building relates to the adjacent urban block with an expressive C shaped rendered plane, which encapsulates the residential upper floors, whilst physically turning its back on the rail tracks to the opposite side of the development.

The rhythm and materials of the adjacent buildings are reflected in the main element of the street facade, whilst more modern aesthetics and materials have been introduced to the flank walls, penthouse and roof.
