Waterloo Station Peak Hour Subway

The recently completed refurbishment of Waterloo Station Peak Hour Subway has created a modern, open space designed for increased capacity over the coming decade.

The subway, which is accessed from the platforms, was originally designed to alleviate overcrowding at the main underground entrances at Waterloo Station.

Refurbishment of the Peak Hour Subway has run alongside and complimented the new automated ticket gateline which has been installed across 19 platforms at Waterloo Station.
