c2c Station Transformation Design Guide ready to go

bpr architects have completed the station transformation design guide for Trenitalia c2c. The design guide provides their business with principles through which station refurbishments projects can be rolled out. The success in bringing this together has been anchored around a high quality, flexible modular wall system.

The principle of the modular wall is that all modules follow the same dimensions, materiality and colour palette, and facilitate future adaptability to suit the changing needs of the station booking hall environment.

Steve Cowell, Director at bpr praised his team for producing a guide of such perfect simplicity – “the expertise of those behind the design shines through when you see how effectively these principles can be applied in so many different station contexts.”

The first of the c2c stations that we are now designing to the principles is at Upminster and Westcliff providing increased functionality and aesthetic to the station environment.  The designs benefit both the travelling passenger and the station operational team while simultaneously enhancing the image of c2c and reinforcing its brand values of a modern, efficient and reliable service provider.

Speaking for c2c Ben Martin, Asset and Property Director, welcomed the arrival of the guide: “This guide should be the first port of call for making design decisions across the network.“
