Paul B-P took part in BIM in Birmingham 2019 at Birmingham City University. He presented The Ritterman Building, a BIM Level 2 Pilot project designed for Middlesex University to a range of practitioners and students. Trying to engage students in the language of BIM when BIM is about communication and sharing information to the wider design team and end user, is very challenging when students don’t have a collaborative team to work with. There is therefore a tendency to assume that BIM is all about learning how to use software – but it is so much more than that!
