Church Wharf, Rickmansworth

The objective of the project was to make better use of an existing brownfield site that had been underused, whilst also replacing the existing Travis Perkins unit through more efficient use of space, enhancing this important local business. The scheme delivers a high-quality sustainable development on an important local canal side location.

BPR prepared designs for a new 4-storey 92-bed Premier Inn hotel development with parking spaces, and a replacement Travis Perkins builders merchant that responds sensitively to it's surrounding, whilst delivering a high density efficient building.

The location, orientation and mass of the buildings have minimal impact on the surrounding context, whilst still being visible to passing trade in the immediate vicinity surrounding the site.
