KEW BRIDGE STATION QUARTER

A very high density scheme has been achieved through the use of intermediate housing types that provide smaller affordable units for first time buyers. The design makes use of smart curved balconies that give the building depth and visual quality, whilst the plan retains an efficient modular footprint.

BPR Architects were appointed by Blocwork, a joint venture between Bloc Group and Network Rail Property to prepare design proposals for the redevelopment of land to the rear of Kew Bridge Station and the refurbishment of the historic listed station building to provide a new independent cafe and two residential units.

The character of the development responds to the area's historic pumping station industrial heritage which has influenced the scheme layout and aesthetic.
