PUBLIC REALM IMPROVEMENTS IN STRATFORD

BPR were invited to curate a range of public-realm improvements in Stratford. Collaborating with the University of East London and its stakeholders, BPR designed a series of amphitheatres within the public-realm to redefine the area and transform it; from underutilised external space into a useable teaching and learning space. The amphitheare projects were expanded across the University's wider estate to create a more vibrant 'sticky campus' that could attract students and academic staff onto the campus following post-covid working and by utilising a homogeneous palette of materials across all three campuses, ensured a truly 'connected campus' for the University.
