BPR were commissioned by the University of East London to prepare design proposals for a Grade II* listed heritage asset on their Stratford Campus: University House.

The project involved upgrading underutilised areas of the existing building to create high-quality co-working space and new function rooms below the existing listed 'Dome'.

A reserved palette of material and colour was employed across the design. Inspired by Victorian colour theory, the main walls were painted Sage Green enabling a contemporary yet sensitive feel to the rooms whilst the subtle use of gold highlights key ornamental motifs across the building.
